Free initial review · No processing statement needed

No sales history yet? Start with how the business will work.

You do not need an existing processing statement to discuss a new restaurant, bagel shop, retail store or service business. Bring your expected average sale, estimated monthly card volume, checkout count and opening date. If those figures are uncertain, say so; estimates should be identified rather than presented as established sales.

The system should match the transaction your staff must complete. A counter-service shop may need fast modifiers and kitchen tickets. A retailer may need barcodes, product variants and returns. A contractor may need mobile acceptance, invoices and a clear deposit/balance workflow.

Counter & kitchen

Menu choices, preparation routing, pickup handoff, receipts, refunds and end-of-day reports.

Retail checkout

Item imports, barcode lookup, stock changes, exchanges and staff permissions.

Service payments

On-site or remote collection, supported payment links, invoicing and reconciliation.

Prepare these items before setup day.

  1. Business information: the legal and trading names, location and authorized owner/contact. Submit private application documents only through the provider’s approved process.
  2. Site readiness: counter dimensions, power, internet, cabling, Wi-Fi coverage and printer positions. Decide who supplies and tests each connection.
  3. Clean items or menu: names, categories, prices, variants, modifiers, barcodes and tax treatment confirmed with your adviser.
  4. Staff roles: who opens, sells, changes prices, approves refunds, views reports and closes the day. Assign individual access where supported.
  5. Customer channels: walk-in, pickup, delivery, website, phone and invoices. Identify which channels are needed at launch and which can wait.
  6. Support ownership: who handles device faults, processing questions, app problems and network outages. Keep the relevant contact details available to managers.

Test your real checkout before the doors open.

Build a small test set that reflects your business. For a bagel shop, use a sandwich with modifiers, an unavailable item and a pickup order. For a store, use two variants of the same product, a discount and a return. Check what the cashier sees, what prints and what appears in closeout.

Use the provider’s approved testing procedure for payment, void/refund and settlement checks. Confirm receipts, staff permissions, taxes, tips where applicable, kitchen routing or barcodes, and the handling of a failed payment. A device turning on is not an acceptance test.

Keep a short issue list with an owner and next step for each item. Agree the launch sequence and any fallback with the provider. Internet outages, approval timing and third-party app behavior cannot be guaranteed away.

Opening-date questions

How far ahead should I contact Process Rite?

As soon as you have a location and a target date. Share what is ready and what is still changing so the plan can account for underwriting, equipment, network work and menu or inventory preparation. A fixed completion time is not promised before review.

Do I need to buy Clover before asking for help?

No. Begin with the workflow and quote requirements. Confirm device fit, software, provider relationship and equipment terms before purchasing.

Can I start with fewer devices and add more later?

That may be appropriate, but check the proposed plan and accessories first. Include the likely expansion in the discussion so the first setup does not create avoidable replacement or integration work.

Can you arrange local installation and training?

Describe the site and required work in the form. Process Rite will clarify available coverage, responsibilities, timing and costs directly. A consultation request is not a confirmed installation booking.

Tell us your town, opening date and checkout needs.

Process Rite accepts new-business enquiries across Clifton, Totowa, Paterson, Passaic, Wayne, Wallington and surrounding North Jersey communities. Start with the requirements; confirm equipment, implementation and provider terms before committing.
