The payment is only one part of the collision workflow

Body-shop work may involve an estimate, customer authorization, parts orders, insurer communication, supplements, a customer deductible and a final balance. Process Rite focuses on the customer-payment side. We do not process insurance claims and do not imply control over insurer approvals or claim funds.

A sound payment plan makes it clear who is paying, what the payment covers, how it is authorized, where it is recorded and what must be completed before vehicle release. If the estimating or management platform already works, it should not be replaced merely to sell payment hardware.

Deposits

Label advance payments clearly and define cancellation, refund and parts-order procedures.

Deductibles

Connect the customer’s payment to the correct repair record without confusing it with insurer activity.

Final balances

Use approved in-person or remote methods and confirm status before the vehicle leaves.

Payment options to evaluate

  • Countertop and contactless payments
  • Mobile acceptance in a defined pickup workflow
  • Hosted payment links or invoices for customer balances
  • Virtual-terminal use by trained staff
  • ACH where supported and appropriate
  • Card-on-file only with supported storage and authorization

Controls to document

  • Customer identity and repair-order matching
  • Deposit, deductible and balance labels
  • Remote-payment authorization
  • Refund and void permissions
  • Receipt delivery and dispute records
  • Settlement and accounting reconciliation

Review cost without promising a result

A recent statement can show transaction volume, average ticket, card-present and remote-payment mix, fee categories, monthly charges and visible equipment or software costs. Process Rite organizes the information and identifies questions for a written comparison. Savings, approval and product availability are not guaranteed.

Body-shop payment FAQs

Does Process Rite handle insurance claims?

No. Process Rite evaluates merchant services and customer-payment acceptance. Insurance claims, approvals and insurer payments remain outside this service unless a separately supported product is confirmed in writing.

Can a customer pay a deductible remotely?

Potentially. A supported payment link, invoice or virtual-terminal workflow may help, provided identity, authorization, receipts, fees, refunds and reconciliation are documented.

Do we need to replace estimating software?

No. The goal is to work with the existing workflow. Any claimed integration must be verified for the exact software, version, processor relationship and shop configuration.
